VMwere Tools for CentOS 7.x インストール方法
VMware WorkstaionやVMware ESXi等でVMwere Tools for CentOS 7.xをインストールする手順です。 廃止予定 CentOS 7.x対応
ここではVMware Workstaion 11 + CentoOS 7.0 x64版での例となります。
現在は以下のパッケージでのインストールを推奨します。
rootでログイン済という状態での説明となります。
VMware Toolsのメディアが挿入済という状態での説明となります。
perlインストール
「yum install -y perl」を入力します。
VMware toolsのインストーラがperlを利用するためインストールが必要です。
既にインストール済の場合インストールは不要です。

net-toolsインストール
「yum install -y net-tools」を入力します。
VMware toolsのインストーラがifconfigを利用するためインストールが必要です。
既にインストール済の場合インストールは不要です。
[root@centos ~]# yum install -y net-tools
読み込んだプラグイン:fastestmirror

ディスク マウント
「mount /dev/cdrom /mnt」を入力します。
VMware toolsのインストーラのマウントです。
マウント先を/mntとして処理していますが必要応じてマウント先を変更してください。
[root@centos ~]# mount /dev/cdrom /mnt mount: /dev/sr0 is write-protected, mounting read-only
ファイル解凍
「cd /tmp」を入力し、「tar -xzf /mnt/VMwareTools-9.9.0-2304977.tar.gz」と入力します。
解凍先を/tmpとして処理していますが必要応じて解凍先を変更してください。
[root@centos ~]# cd /tmp [root@centos tmp]# tar -xzf /mnt/VMwareTools-9.9.0-2304977.tar.gz
ディスクアンマウント
「umount /mnt」と入力します。
[root@centos tmp]# umount /mnt
インストールインストーラー起動
「cd vmware-tools-distrib/」を入力し、「./vmware-install.pl」と入力します。

各種入力
全てエンターキーを入力します。

インストーラー削除
「cd ..」を入力し、「rm -rf vmware-tools-distrib」と入力します。
